The ideal candidate will be responsible for
- Managing collection of assigned client accounts and assisting in developing and implementing collection strategies to achieve established targeted average time for collection
- Monitoring past due accounts receivable over established guidelines while working with responsible parties to recommend and implement appropriate actions to bring accounts to current status
- Reconciling client A/R balances to ensure necessary adjustments are made to client invoices
- Negotiating revised payment arrangements/agreement with clients as needed
- Providing monthly reports on collection status
- Minimum of three years accounting and finance experience; collection analysis and law firm experience a plus
- Thorough understanding of accounts receivable and collection policies, procedures and controls
- Experience using current Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office applications (including advanced Excel and Outlook) and an enterprise accounting system; Aderant a plus
- Ability to perform analysis of cash collection system to make recommendations for improvements and develop plans for collecting on delinquent accounts
- Strong focus on client service and responsiveness
