Background Information:

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to be based in our Mount Laurel, NJ or Arlington, VA office.

Overview:

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex defense systems, is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will be responsible for program management functions, including developing/maintaining the Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBC), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Earned Value Management (EVM), and Risk/Opportunity Management.

All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensure project plan, scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, risk, budget, and deliverables are in alignment with the project/program goals and objectives as defined by the Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Develop Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), POAMs, program level project and staffing plans
  • Ensure all program objectives and deliverables are accomplished on time and on budget
  • Monitor all project level risks as well as determining relevant mitigation strategies
  • Communicate closely with the government program office regarding agreement status, schedules, and any issues/risks
  • Collaborate with IDT's Finance team to establish and maintain an integrated management system
  • Host and attend working group meetings, generate and deliver agendas, track issues and action items and establish and distribute meeting minutes
  • Participate in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) with the government program office and industry stakeholders to provide updates on work execution, risks, issues, and cost status and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with both IDT and US government contract representatives to ensure applicable Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are developed, executed and in-place
  • Facilitate and track the delivery of Government Furnished Materials (GFM) and Government Furnished Information (GFI)
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 10 Years relevant experience
Required Skills:
  • Experience managing DOD projects/programs
  • Familiarity with DOD Systems and/or Software Engineering processes
  • Experience in proposal and cost estimation development
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes
  • Developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM), program level project and staffing plans
  • Experience developing and managing a Cost Software Data Reporting (CSDR) management architecture
  • Proficient in Earned Value Management
  • Strong communication skills and experience as the primary point of contact for communicating project status and risks/issues with government officials
  • Proficient in Risk and Opportunity Management
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing US Air Force contracts
  • Understanding of US Air Force platform-level tactical systems and software
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
