This role requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles as well as strong communication skills. Individuals seeking a challenging, multi-faceted position in a fast-paced work environment will enjoy the diverse responsibilities of this position.Job Description:Set-up and maintain Direct, Indirect and IWO (Intercompany Work Order) Projects in Deltek CostpointProvide end-to-end project lifecycle supportParticipate in the monthly close activitiesReconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis for reviewPrepare journal entries (including accruals, amortization of prepaid and precontract costs, etc.)Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requiredBasic Qualifications:Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a related Bachelor s degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel and other related Microsoft office productsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work well both independently and in a team environmentStrong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills to resolve inquiriesDesire to learn, adapt and improve processes in a fast-changing environmentKnowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting practices and principlesPreferred Qualifications:Government contracting experience and knowledge or FAR/CASExperience using Deltek CostpointExperience understanding and researching accounting standardsThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):NoneThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):NoneWork Location Type:HybridMITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
