Description/Job SummaryThe Procurement Director will lead, manage, and mature the procurement function for the company. The Procurement Director will develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support operations. This role will be crucial in driving the maturity of the overall Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.The Procurement Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and manage supplier relationships. They will lead the transformation of the procurement function, leveraging technology and data analytics to optimize processes, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Planning:Develop and execute strategic sourcing plansIdentify new suppliers, products, and servicesConduct market research and analysisContract Negotiation and Vendor Management:Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and vendorsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliersEnsure compliance with procurement policies and regulationsProcurement Process Management:Manage the end-to-end procurement processCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needsEnsure timely fulfillment of procurement requestsSpend Analysis and Cost Savings:Analyze spend data and provide regular reportsIdentify opportunities for cost savings and optimizationContinuously seek ways to drive cost savingsTeam Leadership and Development:Manage and mentor the procurement teamFoster a culture of continuous improvement and excellenceEnsure team members have the necessary skills and resourcesItems to Consider: Scope of job, role in setting and communicating strategy, level of decision making, types of analysis & problem solving, key roles in management of internal or external relationships, role in creating/determining content, communication, etc.Required Experience5+ years of progressive procurement experience with at least 2 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of procurement best practices, processes and technologiesProven track record of leading procurement transformations and implementing best-in-class P2P processesExcellent leadership, communication, and analytical skillsProficiency in procurement technologies and tools, such as: e-Procurement systems, spend analysis, and contract management softwareStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsDeep understanding of procurement compliance and risk managementPreferred Experience10+ years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the security, healthcare, janitorial or food service industries.Required EducationBachelor's Degree Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related fieldPreferred EducationMaster's Degree or MBAAdvanced Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related fieldDetailsAdditional functions and requirements may be assigned by leadership as deemed appropriate.
