Shift/Hours: 12 hr. shift, day, night, weekends

Location: Fairfax Medical Campus

Responsibilities:

* Documents, eliminates or takes proper measures to monitor the artifact.

* Schedules appointments, greets patients/families and provides testing instructions.

* Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients of all ages in specific services or units.

* Cleans, adjusts and makes minor repairs to testing equipment or reports issues to appropriate personnel promptly.

* Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with patients, patient families, Laboratory staff, physicians and other members of the hospital staff.

Requirements:

* Certification:

* Basic Life Support;

* Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation;

* Eligible for and successful completion of the ABRET EEG board examination with the achievement as a R.EEG T.; R.EEG. T. obtained within two years of hire

* Licensure - None required

* Experience:

* One year of experience preferred in the Neurodiagnostic field in an inpatient setting or office setting;

* Experience performing advanced EEG/evoked potential studies;

* Experience performing EEG/evoked potential studies.

* Education:

* High School or GED

* Graduate or enrollment with graduation within six months of hire from an accredited program for Electro-neurodiagnostic Technology, or an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college/university, or eligible for boards within 2 years of hire with a minimum of 1 year of inpatient experience as a EEG Tech
