What You'll Get to Do

This individual will assist with the day-to-day operations at the facility and support the larger organization's management team in executing three large DoD contracts supplying engineering services and support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD). This position will require the individual to learn the intricacies of DoD contracting and organizational management. The project analyst will work closely with the facility manager and other members of the management team on business operations including general office management, personnel management, process management, procurement, and program execution.

As a member of the management team, the project analyst will support various tasks, unique and recurring in nature, and critical to the success of the organization. This analyst will have sole responsibility for specific team functions, while providing a supporting role in others. Tasks range from simple purchasing to more complex reporting and tracking. This project analyst will be expected to progressively accept greater and more complex responsibilities, and to eventually occupy a critical role on the management team with the capability of improving existing processes and establishing new ones.

Ideal candidates are motivated self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced team environment and have exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to varying management styles and work environments, including customer facing and virtual. A willingness to dive into and take ownership of tasks that are outside of comfort zones is an imperative. This position demands that the individual be unafraid to ask questions in order to understand roles and responsibilities in an effort to be fully capable of independently executing tasking. An ability to think critically and analytically is important.
