Description

The Loyola Notre Dame Library seeks an innovative Technology Support Coordinator to support the educational missions of Loyola University Maryland and Notre Dame of Maryland University . The successful candidate, in collaboration with other library units and campus partners, will serve a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and community members. The coordinator will support library technology infrastructure and collaborate with library units and campus technology departments. The position reports to the Technology Services Librarian.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for library patrons and staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer systems, and resolving network problems.
  • Provide support for library staff facing technology challenges and ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Manage, track, and optimize technology assets to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain library technology policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with library units and campus partners to support technology needs and initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing new technology, providing support and guidance to staff during the transition.
  • Oversee technology-related purchasing, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Train and mentor library staff and patrons on the effective use of technology resources.
  • Monitor emerging trends and best practices in library technology and incorporate them into library services.
  • Serve on LNDL and other committees as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or commensurate certificate in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • One to two years' experience providing technical support in an office setting.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with managing technology projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing relationships and building rapport with faculty, staff, students, and community members.

The Loyola Notre Dame Library , located in northern Baltimore City, is a member of the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions and serves Loyola University Maryland and Notre Dame of Maryland University . The Library serves a total student population of 5,525 FTE that includes 4,406 FTE at Loyola and 1,119 FTE at Notre Dame.
