This full-time position assists the Corporate Facilities Director in the execution of electrical tasks related to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of all facilities and other real property, utility plants and systems, and grounds at sites throughout the United States. Role will support the development and implementation of the electrical components of a corporate facilities O&M and Safety program.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
  • Possesses a high level of technical knowledge & experience in performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and emergency service in commercial building types - Class A, B, C, as well as warehouse, industrial, and data center facilities.
  • In coordination with the Corporate Facilities Director and other members of the facilities team determine the electrical requirements for a corporate facilities O&M and Safety program.
  • In coordination with the Corporate Facilities Director and other members of the facilities team develop the electrical sections a corporate facilities O&M and Safety program based on the gathered requirements.
  • In coordination with the Corporate Facilities Director and other members of the facilities team implement the electrical sections a corporate facilities O&M and Safety program based on the gathered requirements including virtual and in-person initial and follow on training.
  • In coordination with the Corporate Facilities Director and other members of the facilities team visit facilities to review and audit performance and capture lessons learned for the facilities O&M and safety program.
  • Incorporate lessons learned in updating the program and associated training.
  • Provide counseling to individual sites about program performance, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Inspect operator performance related to O&M of electrical switchgear, generators, UPS Systems, power distribution, chillers and cooling tower, and BMS systems
  • Ability to prepare MOPs and adhere to the strict guidelines of approved MOPs for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
  • Analyze and understand building electrical and control drawings and manuals.
  • Assist local facilities to troubleshoot power, lighting, BAS and communication circuits to isolate wiring or component faults.
  • Conducting routine building inspections to assess needs relating to electrical work and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with local facilities or maintenance supervisors, outside contractors and/or employees, estimators, suppliers, etc., and other trades to develop work orders
  • Prepares and presents weekly/monthly Technical Progress Reports as required.
  • Conducts random inspections to review work while in progress.
  • Ensures procedures are being followed while making certain highest level of quality standards are met.
  • Reviews completed site work to verify compliance in accordance with applicable plans, procedures and all governing codes.
  • Confers with and advises other management personnel regarding maintenance projects and priorities.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced level of understanding & operational competency for mission critical electrical systems.
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician.
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical theory and solid-state electronics.
  • Knowledge of various electrical equipment including, but not limited to High Voltage Switchgear and Distribution Equipment, Generators, Low Voltage Distribution Systems, chillers, and cooling towners.
  • 3 to 5 years of documented journeyman level experience (hands on).
  • Five (5) years' experience in facilities operations and maintenance.
  • Strong professional and technical writing skills.
  • Good computer skills to include intermediate proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate various mechanical & electrical systems.
  • High school graduate or equivalent GED.
  • Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screen. Ability to lift 25 pounds and team lift 50 pounds.
  • US Citizen with ability to pass a thorough criminal, credit check and pre-employment Drug Screen.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
Experience with:
  • Preventative Maintenance on all types of electrical equipment.
  • Familiar with NETA testing requirements for HV distribution equipment.
  • Pad mounted and substation transformers and associated switchgear.
  • National Fire Protection Association Standard 70E
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Computer knowledge, especially in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with unions and collective bargaining agreements
  • Presentational skills and/or public speaking ability.
  • FAA Part 107 Remoted Drone Operator License
  • CPR and First Aid
