We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join our team at any one of our Ohio office locations. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the performance, professional growth, and knowledge of employees within Rea & Associates. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training and development programs that align with the company's goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Learning & Development Manager is a key contributor to the firm's success by ensuring that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Responsibilities
Serve as a collaborative partner with firm leadership to identify training needs and set strategic objectives for learning and development initiatives
Develop an annual training plan that meets regulatory compliance standards, expectations of technical proficiency, and seeks to maximize employee success at all levels of the organization
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through soliciting feedback from stakeholders and participants and implement corrective improvements as necessary
Create and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for various employee groups, ensuring engagement and knowledge retention
Discern proper training delivery methods for content including e-learning, in-person training, blended learning, and/or microlearning.
Cultivate a network of external training resources, such as industry experts or third-party providers, and coordinate training sessions with external vendors as needed
Ensure training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and in-person sessions, are up-to-date and effective
Support practice and industry leaders by creating and administering learning plans for employees that promote continuous learning in appropriate subject areas
Promote and facilitate opportunities for certifications, continuing education, and professional growth
Develop and implement training programs to ensure all employees are compliant with relevant standards and legal requirements
Stay informed about changes in the professions represented at the firm including but not limited to accounting regulations
Administer the firm's Learning Management System, ensuring its functionality, accessibility, and content relevance
Identify opportunities to utilize technology to further firm-wide continuous learning and career growth
Develop and manage the training and development budget, optimizing resources to meet organizational goals
Lead members of the Learning & Development team and oversee their performance, development, and workload distribution
Collaborate with members of the People Team to ensure career development support is available for employees at all levels of the organization
Requirements
A four-year degree in a related field is required. Educational specialties in human resources, business management, or project management are preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, preferably in the accounting, financial services, or other similarly regulated industry
Professional certifications in learning and development are a plus
Regular travel in the state of Ohio of approximately 25% of the time to Rea offices, company events, and industry conferences. Infrequent domestic travel may be required. Approved travel expenses are covered by the company.
Leadership experience with the proven ability to manage others effectively
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to effectively deliver training content to participants
Strong project management and organizational skills to execute multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to source solutions to complex problems through personal accountability and leveraging a network of resources
Strong knowledge of industry-specific requirements and regulations
Proficiency with learning management systems and training software
Adherence to ethical and professional standards
Ability to adapt to change and stay current with industry trends and firm-wide strategic goals
Prior experience managing a learning and development budget while ensuring cost-effective solutions
