Pay Range: $90hr - $115hr

  • IT Manager - Workday Product Manager responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Initial Workday Project Deployment.
  • Member of the leadership team driving the successful, on time, on budget implementation of Workday Product management.
  • Facilitate relationships with agencies leadership, subject matter experts, and readiness coordinators.
  • Establish the support organization and governance for Workday to include the staffing tiers of support such as employee self-service, help desk, functional product leads, and escalations.
  • Establish the functional leads across the core departments who will serve as the administrators of the Workday configuration Product Enablement.
  • Uphold and evolve the vision for Client implementation of Workday as an ERP solution that enables our guiding principles of simplification, standardization, and transformation.
  • Develop a roadmap of Workday products and features to be deployed to realize the vision.
  • Manage ongoing enhancements to the Workday product ensuring that the functional administrators are communicating cross-functionally and testing the value and impact of proposed modifications.
  • Facilitate the change control process using a weekly release schedule to move changes into production.
  • Establish appropriate signoff and communication of changes based on the amount of change to the operations of the city.
Product Usage and Training:
  • Track metrics on Workday usage across the city, identifying areas where usage is not optimal.
  • Engage stakeholders to understand day to day use of Workday.
  • Incorporate stakeholder input in building the product roadmap and training plans.
  • lign business processes across the various agencies in the city and incorporate Workday standard business process to achieve efficient operations.
  • Work through appropriate channels to ensure Citys Administrative manual and policies are updated as related to Workday Processes.
  • Oversee training content development and delivery.
Change Management and Communication:
  • Develop Citys ERP website to communicate updates and house the training content.
  • Work through appropriate channels to ensure Citys Administrative manual and policies are updated as related to Workday Processes.
  • Technical Integration.
  • Integrate vendors and agencies.
  • Develop and maintain standard for integrations and reports.
  • Facilitate the change control process using a weekly release schedule to move changes into production.

Workday Community:
  • Engage with peer organizations who have deployed Workday to share best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for and encourage functional leads to establish relationships across Functional Workstreams and across Agencies.
  • Own relationship with Workday sales and the Workday customer success team to identify new opportunities for the Workday products in the City.
Education And Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Seven years of related experience; including.
  • Three years of supervisory responsibilities as disciplining, evaluating the performance of and recommending the hiring, firing, and promoting of subordinate employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Managing projects in diverse subject areas with the ability to quickly climb the learning curve in new subject areas.
  • Managing software vendors and implementation service providers.
  • Previous IT experience in government is preferred.
  • Equivalencies: An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Non-supervisory experience or education may not be substituted for the required supervisory experience.
