Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Engineer specializing in Cloud Solutions. This role involves acting as the IT owner for various applications and productivity tools within the M365 platform and other cloud vendors, including MS Teams, Copilot, and IntApp Workspaces. The position encompasses strategic planning, daily oversight, and support of assigned systems, playing a direct role in our company's cloud journey and the adoption of advanced productivity tools.

This role involves acting as the IT owner for various applications and productivity tools within the M365 platform and other cloud vendors, including MS Teams, Copilot, and IntApp Workspaces. The position encompasses strategic planning, daily oversight, and support of assigned systems, playing a direct role in our company's cloud journey and the adoption of advanced productivity tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Ownership & Technical Leadership:
- Lead and manage applications on the M365 platform, including Teams, OneDrive, and Copilot.
- Oversee cloud solutions from vendors such as IntApp.
- Drive the delivery of new solutions and system improvements.
- Strategic Leadership & Recommendations:
- Provide expertise in configurations, governance, and integrations.
- Participate in strategic discussions and make informed recommendations.
- Integration & Collaboration:
- Understand and manage relationships between M365, on-premise applications, SaaS applications, and tools like Litera CAM.
- Collaborate with Endpoint, InfoSec, Development, and Infrastructure teams on various integrations including Office, Outlook, Add-ins, Intune, SharePoint, AWS, Azure, Azure AD, Okta, and Mobile Iron.
- System Implementation & Maintenance:
- Handle implementations, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and system roadmaps.
- Ensure the health and stability of all owned solutions.
- Vendor Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft and other vendors.
- Stay informed about specific offerings and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the M365 space.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor, track, and report on system performance and capacity.
- Plan for capacity needs.
- Documentation & Process Adherence:
- Maintain accurate architecture and support documentation.
- Adhere to IT's Change Management, SDLC, and incident management processes.
- Training & Coaching:
- Collaborate on training and Quality Assurance materials.
- Provide coaching to junior analysts.
- Quality Assurance:
- Work with QA on test scripts, procedures, and remediation activities.
- Advanced knowledge of M365, Hybrid Connection Manager, and related desktop/server components.
- Proficiency in Azure and AWS environments and related technologies.
- Understanding of legal and non-legal cloud solutions from vendors like IntApp, Litera, Elite, and iManage.
- Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, critical thinking, leadership skills, and customer service abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of multi-tier architecture (servers, databases, proxies, load balancing, etc.).
- System integration skills including APIs, web services, FTP, and database connections.
- Ability to manage monitoring, backups, HA, BC, DR, patching, and admin tools.
- Familiarity with desktop and mobile applications, SQL Server, SQL development/queries, reporting tools, project management tools like Confluence and JIRA, scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell), security best practices, and data governance procedures.
- Required:
- Minimum 2 years of M365 experience.
- At least 7 years of information technology experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with enterprise platforms.
- Preferred:
- At least 3 years of executive-level engagement and customer service experience.
- At least 3 years in a professional services or legal environment.
