Job description
ASSYST is seeking experienced Senior Mainframe Developers to support a Department of Defense (DoD) project. This position offers a remote work location.
The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and possess the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Analyze functional and technical requirements of proposed or existing IT systems to determine the technical development or modification necessary to meet mission objectives.
- Prepare system change/programming specifications, and specifies programming instructions, inputs and outputs, structures, and other analytical products to document the functional and technical requirements.
- Prepare technical design documents and participates in critical design reviews to study and verify impacts on current systems.
- Analyze and resolves system or software failures.
- Prepare and executes tests for system or subsystem software validation.
- 5 years of Mainframe IDMS and COBOL experience required.
- Endevor experience preferred.
