Job description

With our headquarters in California and operations all over the world, Jacuzzi Group has been providing innovative wellness solutions for over 65 years. Jacuzzi Group is a leading manufacturer of hot tubs, swim spas, baths, showers, saunas, and pool equipment. We are seeking a Assistant Product Manager to join our team.

The Assistant Product Manager will help manage products within the Jacuzzi Luxury Bath line, leading our efforts to grow market share and expand our footprint by crafting and executing strategic product plans. This individual will manage and coordinate product development projects and create marketing plans for new and existing products across our wholesale, remodel, and E-commerce channels.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, candidate must work with other departments to establish a design, technology, product development, and vendor strategy, as well as evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues. Complete life-cycle product management activities to improve the margin of existing products including cost reductions, price increases, and attention to detail to ensure that labeling and marketing/promotional literature match product specifications

  • Lead a cross-functional team of Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Purchasing and/or Vendors on new concepts and approaches to the design or development of new or improved products or components.
  • Translate identified market needs from Product Management into meaningful new product specifications for Purchasing team and Vendors.
  • Conduct consumer research, where appropriate, to understand their needs and requirements
  • Work with our ESG team to stay abreast of advanced technologies relevant to category design and development.
  • Manage profit/loss statement for defined product line
  • Develops new product specifications, follows product from initial development through all stages to product launch.
  • Provides 3-year vision for product positioning in each category and channel.
  • Ensures appropriate tests are applied to all product development activities and that testing outputs align with product plans and engineering goals.
  • Works with engineering and purchasing teams to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Thoroughly understands and communicates packaging design and engineering
  • Utilizes vendor resources and expertise in product development
  • Manages project budgets and prepares financial analysis reports for top management.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Presents research and plans to upper management.
  • $80,000 + depending on experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University in related field
  • Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in product development of manufactured consumer products
  • Individuals with software product management will not be considered
  • Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Sales teams to ensure alignment of initiatives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
