When you volunteer in one of our shops you can gain so much. Not only will you meet new people and gain work experience, but you will also be helping to save lives.

We have over 700 charity shops across the UK and our team of dedicated volunteers help run all of them. Our clothing shops need volunteers on the sales floor or behind the scenes getting stock ready to go on sale.

We also have specialist roles available in our Furniture & Electrical stores such as warehouse assistants, electrical function testers, stock generators and telephone operators.

Whilst volunteering in our shops you can work towards a Duke of Edinburgh's Award or even gain an NVQ in retail.

How to get started

Think about how much time you're able to give - it could be a day a month or a few hours a week.

Visit your local shop and chat to the manager or give the shop a call.

Arrange a taster day.

If necessary discuss with local Volunteer Centre
