Small Group Leader - People Operations

Job description

We seek someone who wants to be critical to our success, to achieve, to inspire their teammates, to lead, and to have a career where they can wake up and feel passionate about doing the best job they can. Xcellent Technology Solutions (XTS) is a growing company with a proven method for talent acquisition (recruiting) that when applied properly is superior to other methods in the market. Our core principles in achieving this are centered around preparation, authenticity, outreach, and quality. That's a little different than most of the recruiting market which tends to focus on volume, key word matching, etc so prior recruiting experience is not required.

What we do need for that team is someone who can lead, knows how to organize, has attention good attention to detail, and can execute within the boundaries of strategic intent. This is a hands on position you may not know talent acquisition now, you will after training, and as a leader you will need to get competent at it. You do not necessarily need to be the highest producer but you should be setting a good example, following the process, adhering to standards, and coaching and mentoring others to do the same. Your supervisor will be our Chief Operating Officer and this is a high growth income potential position, it is not commissioned base but we do raises when and at a time someone has earned them by hitting the next gate in their development. It's merit based; we know many people say that we mean it.

Relevant Information

*Must be able to start at least by 1 May and attend a 1 Week Training (We are hiring 2 new members to our team plus bringing in some people from our Missouri for training) from 1 May to 5 May.
*This is not a remote position it is in the office and you will receive peer to peer help as well as mentorship; so fully in person the first 90-120 days until you get your bearings then 1 remote day per week.

Qualifications
  • 2+ Years Leading a Small Group (This will be 4 people)
  • 5 Years Total Working Experience
  • Bachelors Degree from accredited University or Military Experience in lieu of (or both)

Skills
  • Ability to brief productivity numbers and update status to Senior Management
  • Coaching temperament, we do not need a task master, we want a coach someone who understands how to hold people to standards without an R Lee Ermey impersonation. We find R Lee Erney hysterical we do not find a clone of that to be conducive to best results. We will treat you with a high degree of respect and dignity, we expect you to treat the people you supervise with respect and dignity (along with everyone else).
  • Clear speaking skills and ability to enunciate, many candidates will be contacted via phone/zoom so you need to be comfortable doing that and being watched while doing so.
  • Competency in English Writing
  • Able to embrace authentic approach to outreach
  • Hunger and thirst to achieve the mission.
  • Understanding of Research Fundamentals and the capacity to synthesize that research into a useable form for yourself and others to act on.

Conditional Qualifications

We work in some very niche markets. If you have a background and experience in a PeopleOps Organization that implements authentic highly targeted outreach we are very interested in your skill set and are more than happy to stretch the compensation range to match your background and needs.

If you are from a recruiting background that emphasizes high volume of contact, stretching the labor market, keyword tagging, branding this is probably not the right position for you. Those tactics will not and do not work with what we are doing (this is why we have a different method) and it just ends up being stressful for everyone as you try to employ those tactics.

Nice to have Qualifications
*Prior military and/or IC knowledge is a major bonus
*Knowledge of Social Media
*Prior Sales or Customer Service Experience
*Knowledge of GIS or IT services

This is a very important position, it's a chance for you as the applicant to come in and contribute to something really fantastic while being part of a great team. The office is "casual dress" pretty much every day, while we would not promise the job is "stress free" because it isn't, you'll be engaged on mission objectives with other members who are pulling in the same direction you are. You help them succeed they help you succeed collaboration is the order of the day, every day. You'll get recognized when you have success and coached when you fall. If you can get up after you fall and your first reaction is "wow I just learned something new" this maybe the ideal position for you. Also if you've been wanting an opportunity to do something great, well this is may well be that opportunity.

Apply to this position by including your resume and a cover letter briefly describing what about the position interests you. It need not be long just a short paragraph or two. If you want to email that cover letter (please include your name) and email Corlyn Bridges PeopleOps Manager at [email protected] and cc Jasmine Ortiz-Castillo [email protected].
