Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on commercial buildings, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks.
- Inspect and identify issues with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, and collaborate with relevant professionals for repairs or replacements.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure buildings are in compliance with safety regulations and perform necessary upgrades or repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize disruptions in daily operations.
- Install, repair, and maintain various fixtures and equipment, including doors, windows, locks, lighting fixtures, and appliances.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization within work areas and storage spaces.
- Previous experience as a handyman, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge and experience in general repairs and maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
- Solid understanding of building codes, safety guidelines, and regulations.
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and working in tight spaces.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contractors.
