Serves as lead financial aid administrator of competency-based financial aid programs.
Assists the Director as needed with the annual audits, program reviews, FISAP, final reconciliation and other reports required as it relates to competency-based (direct assessment and clock-hour) programs.
Determines Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements of students enrolled in competency-based (direct assessment and clock-hour) programs and assists the director with SAP for students enrolled in competency-based (direct assessment and clock-hour) programs.
Responsible for Return of Title IV calculations of students enrolled in competency-based (direct assessment and clock-hour) programs when a student withdraws from the institution either officially or unofficially.
Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the financial aid operation, particularly as it relates to competency-based (direct assessment and clock-hour) programs.
Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
Knowledge of student financial aid compliance and reporting requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively with a students, parents, staff, and faculty.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of customer service skills
Proficiency in technology and the systems used to determine student eligibility and originate a financial aid award. (These may include: PeopleSoft, NSLDS, COD, MS Word, Excel, etc.) Strong leadership skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines and objectives
Ability to interpret policies and make decisions.
