We here at Capitol Exhibit Services are one of the nation s leading, full-service designer and fabricator for museums, expositions, corporate events, conventions and exhibit programs. We are seeking talented, enthusiastic people who will give our clients the best service in the industry. Currently we have available opportunities in our Graphics Department for:

Job Title: Graphic Technician

We are currently looking for a graphic technician with experience pre-flighting files to determine quality of provided art files, set up production ready art for printing, and work into production to finalize graphics for installation. This technician should have the abilities to consider, resize, and manipulate art files to match output requirements. This includes coordinating with clients, project managers and other department, such as detailing and fabrication, to ensure specific needs. Technician should also be able to: convert file types from one program into another; recreate or adjust artwork in different software programs; and identify and correct potential problems within art files (ex: poor resolutions, artwork mistakes, typos, ect).

Technician will also be asked to review and analyzing job tickets and drawings, then communicate concerns and schedules in a constructive manner to meet deadlines.

Occasionally techs will be asked to assist in answering clients and other employees questions or production issues, and perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position under the direction of the Graphics Department Manager or Production Manager

Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years of experience in Graphics Production.

Two (2) years of graphic design experience/training.

Two (2) years of college equivalent education or print shop experience.
Proficient working with Adobe Suites. (Specifically: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)

Familiar with Mac and PC based operating systems.

Experience with operating and maintaining graphics department equipment preferred, including large format printers; vinyl plotter; encapsulating/mounting laminator.
Knowledgeable about production materials, substrates, laminates, vinyl, tools and printing processes.

Experience with color management.
Excellent electronic, written, and verbal communication skills.
Must be very detail oriented with have strong planning and organization skills.

Ability to read detail and architectural drawings is necessary, but training may be provided.

Available for small amounts of local, onsite installs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Graphic and vinyl install experience.

Experience with Onyx Thrive RIP software.

Work Schedule:
Regular Business hours are Monday Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Overtime and weekends required upon request.

Possible short-term travel as needed (usually local).
