Job description

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our client's team who is responsible for logging and monitoring data. This role will focus on gathering and analyzing business requirements, facilitating Agile processes, and ensuring effective communication between stakeholders and the technical team.

Position Overview : The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in our data logging and monitoring initiatives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring that the development team delivers high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, excellent communication skills, and experience working in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Requirement Gathering and Analysis :

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for data logging and monitoring.

Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements for the development team.

Agile Facilitation :

Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Ensure the Agile team follows best practices and continuously improves its processes.

Stakeholder Communication :

Serve as a liaison between business units and the technical team to ensure alignment and clarity of requirements.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and provide regular updates on project progress.

User Stories and Backlog Management :

Write clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria.

Prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of features.

Documentation and Reporting :

Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, user stories, and business processes.

Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into project status and performance metrics.

Continuous Improvement :

Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Agile framework and data logging/monitoring processes.

Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Agile business analysis.

Qualifications :

Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment.

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on documentation and process improvement.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.

Experience in the IT, finance, or telecommunications industries.

Familiarity with data logging and monitoring concepts and tools such as Splunk (hands-on experience not required).

Experience with Azure DevOps (Azure Boards)

$100,000 - $130,000. This base salary range is based on your actual work location and hours worked. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to role, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company s 401k plan, as well as a deferred compensation plan. Employees will also accrue up to 2 weeks of vacation in a year and 8 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
