What are we looking for?

The Business Analyst will analyze an organization and design its processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology. They will also assess current state, identify customer requirements, and define the future state and/or business solution.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:

Facilitate the gathering of business-focused requirements to support a product team and product owner, including defining the backlog and ensuring the users perspective is considered.

Work with the product owner and users to determine the operational objectives of business needs and elicit requirements. Focus on requirements related to improved usability, user experience, and user adoption and engagement.

Identify core business needs, decompose complex business processes, and document concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories, document business rules, and construct workflow diagrams, as needed. This includes drafting Enterprise Performance Lifecyle (EPLC) technical documents per project requirements.

Support the technical solutioning sessions with the SharePoint development team for enhancing existing SPO Sites and Power Platform applications and new development projects.

Conduct System/Integration Testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed.

Design internal and external user interface adhering UI/UX best practices.

Support other client and DRT activities as directed by IT Project Manager.

This is you:

5+ years of demonstrated experience leading requirements elicitation discussions with stakeholders and documenting requirements on software development projects.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Demonstrated experience with the following:

Working on Agile projects as a Lead Business Analyst

Analyzing problems that impact the project and provide innovative solutions/options that include analysis of schedules, costs, and

technology/tools

Developing and reviewing IT programmatic documentation and plans, including capturing and documenting requirements, technical

design, etc.

Designing User Interface adhering UI/UX best practices.

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

Previous experience working with or for Federal Agencies.

Demonstrated experience in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI) and SharePoint Online architecture.

Education & Training:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field (Preferred)

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification (Required)

SharePoint Online & MS Power Platform certifications (Preferred)

Currently due to the remote working status of the federal government, most DRT employees are teleworking from home and leveraging video conferencing along with other virtual productivity tools. Under normal circumstances, most of our positions are required to report onsite. However, DRT has not yet determined when employees will be required to return to their onsite workspaces. Please be aware that at the time a date is determined to return to the worksite, the requirement of this position may be to report in person to the work location.
