Responsibilities:

Arcfield is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to Lead a team of dedicated Enterprise integrators of Defensive programs. This Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) role is in support of major Protection system acquisitions and capability delivery with interfaces to other systems. The candidate will provide technical support to government customers and successfully take projects through the Readiness process end-to-end. These efforts will span both established and emerging Protection and Defensive system acquisition initiatives. SETAs provide the customer with the expertise needed for mission success. The

Defense Leads responsibilities include:

  • Assessing enterprise- system, and function-level requirements.
  • Enterprise and System CONOPs.
  • Architecture products, system schedules, system and enterprise resiliency, and risks.
  • Responsible for understanding and implementing Information Assurance needs.
  • Understanding of supporting test and verification strategy and the system integration of new initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities is required.

In addition to individual technical responsibilities, the Defense Lead is responsible for

  • Assigning and reviewing tasks for a team of approximately 8 employees.
  • Interacting with several government enterprise systems engineers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with multiple Acquisition Offices (AOs) and government and contractor stakeholders to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges.
  • Provide support to the Protection Capability Program Manager with strategic planning for future capability acquisition and insertion into the enterprise baseline.


Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Requires 12 to15 years with BS/BA or 10 to13 years with MS/MA or 10+ years with Ph.D.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly and ability to obtain additional accesses as needed
  • Significant technical experience working with national technical means
  • Knowledge of space/ground/comm systems and sensor vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of adversarial threats and threat timelines
  • Experience with large acquisition systems engineering efforts, methods, and processes
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good business acumen; ability to relate professionally inside the work environment
  • Organized and flexible
  • Understanding of the System Engineering V and agile acquisition processes
  • Demonstrated technical leadership of integrated engineering teams
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and related functional disciplines therein
  • Experience developing and conducting briefings for senior-level customer stakeholders
  • A passion for learning, helping others, sharing team knowledge, and contributing value to the mission in any way possible

Desired Skills:

  • OCSMP certification and space operations experience is a plus,
  • Experience with Intelligence Community (IC) customer or Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Knowledge of Ground systems and overall space/ground architecture
  • Awareness of mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis and assessment
  • Experience with Mission Planning, Control or Processing functions in support of space and ground architecture
  • Experience identifying user & enterprise needs/requirements and gap identification, analysis and assessment
  • Experience in requirements engineering, CONOPS development, verification, test and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering in support of customer's missions
  • Proven adaptability and experience with daily interaction on-site with the government customers
  • Knowledge of Space/Ground/Communications systems?
  • Experience with requirements database management/repository
  • Experience with MBSE, SysML applications, digital tools, Confluence, and Jira
  • Experience with requirements closure, threat scenarios and analysis, and VV&T strategies that align to an agile development approach
