The Work:
As a Systems Administrator Staff, you will:
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated ticket

Basic Qualifications
- Current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph.
- Nine (9) years experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Three (3) years experience in one or more of the following areas:
o TCP/IP, networks; computer configuration skills; remote manipulation of systems, remote monitoring and administration
o Sun Solaris, HP-Unix, Linux, VMS, and Windows operating systems to include shell scripting and XML
o Networking equipment and router operations
o Smart data tagging; virtual computing; thin client applications.
Desired skills
- Three (3) years experience in Linux system administration using shell scripting
- Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $95,900 - $183,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
