Summary

At Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC), we empower global defense and government agencies with cutting-edge technology solutions in the areas of border control and force protection/counter-UAS systems, ensuring mission success through relentless innovation, affordability, and unwavering commitment to quality. We have core competencies in border control and force protection/counter-UAS systems and sell to the DoD and CBP within the US government and to allied countries, through the DOD managed FMS program. Our expert team collaborates seamlessly with customers, to provide systems and services in support of national security and tactical security requirements worldwide.

ATSC has an opportunity for Director of Business Development who will function as liaison between the Chief Operating Officer and our customers. In this role, you will identify, qualify and secure business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and potential customers. You will collaborate closely with corporate executives and senior managers. You will leverage executive-level relationships to develop targeted sales strategies that convey a customized approach to all business pursuits.

Responsibilities:

* Develops capture and win strategies including business solutions for pursuit.

* Performs market and economic analyses.

* Designs and executes formal capture plans.

* Monitors competitor activity

* Executes customer call plans to qualify and assess the "win-ability" of new opportunities, and to shape acquisitions.

* Leads and coordinates competitive assessments-determines the strengths and weaknesses of team and potential competitors.

* Evaluates potential teammates to ensure complete coverage of all opportunity requirements, and coordinates teaming activities and decisions.

* Identifies resources required to pursue a bid, and guides bid and proposal activities.

* Leads development of customer profiles-including customer needs, issues, hopes, and biases.

* Regularly interacts with all levels of management, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers.

* Prepares pipeline plans.

* Provides input to Business Unit plans and artifacts.

* Mentors business development managers, program managers, and other employees to prepare them for customer engagement activities.

* Ensures development of solutions that offer competitive distinction and readily executable approaches.

* Prepare and lead Step Reviews

* Develop B&P spending plans and track all associated expenses.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.

* 10+ years of Military experience preferred.

* Experience within the DOD program preferred.

* Proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint

* Initiative-taking individual who can work independently or as a team.

* Confidentiality and company loyalty are necessary.

* Able to interface with VIP's, personnel, international executives, and others.

* Able to multi-task and to accept and adapt to change quickly.

* Detail oriented with strong follow through and organizational skills.

* Proficient writing, technical, analytical and problem-solving skills

* Up to 30% travel CONUS and OCONUS

* Must be willing to travel on short notice.

* Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance, Top Secret Clearance preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

* Work is typically performed in an office setting.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.

* Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds.

* Must be able to read, write and speak English.
