Situated on 120 beautiful acres in Silver Spring, Maryland, Riderwood is the largest continuing care retirement community in the United States. We're part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states-and growing.

We are hiring a Fitness Coordinator who will bring energy and enthusiasm to our team! The Fitness Coordinator is responsible for the development and management of fitness programs and measurement tools for seniors in the community.

How you will make an impact:

* Assisting Manager in monitoring the daily operations of the Fitness Center.

* Scheduling appointments, processing membership agreements.

* Assisting with the promotion, coordination, and implementation of exercise programs.

* Developing and maintaining an effective membership retention program.

* Developing a network within the community and making appropriate referrals to other services

* Assisting in the training of new department employees.

* Building relationships with residents and staff, encouraging physical activity.

What you will need:

* Associate's degree in Health Education field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

* 2 years of related work experience.

* Current CPR/First Aid certification.

* Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.

* Knowledge of prescription, medications, and risk factors is essential.
