Description

Analyzes operations and design workflows. Develops and implements productivity standards, methods and procedures for Supply Chain to ensure optimal efficiencies and cost effectiveness. Models labor standards/cost impact of various process implementations/changes and performs capacity constraint identification.

1.Analyze Distribution Center methods and operations through time studies and other methods to evaluate and improve warehouse or departmental efficiencies and cost effectiveness, layout and workflow. Develops and recommends improvements and assists in the implementation.

2.Evaluate and develop distribution center storage practices and support re-arrangement activities.

3.Review, analyze, and support storage and material handling changes/implementation that increase safety, efficiency, quality, and reduce operating expenses.

4.Support development and implementation of engineered labor standards in assigned distribution center functions and ensure reporting mechanisms to measure actual performance to standard.

5.Provide training and support operations on the proper use of engineering labor standards for costing, staffing, and performance measurement, including labor management system. Assists in the incentive program administration.

6.Investigate new technologies & equipment to improve efficiencies of processes based on analysis and organizational objectives.

7.Perform analysis and develops justifications for capital expenditures. Act as a Project Manager for capital and relocation projects and assists with the evaluation of equipment layouts to ensure proper building layout mechanization.

8.Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean distribution methodologies to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.

9.Work closely with Distribution Center Operations, Engineering and Maintenance in supporting MHE systems optimization and project implementation.

10.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights and direction.

11.Travel as necessary to support other regional DC locations.

Qualifications

1.Degree in industrial engineering or related field required.

2.Previous experience or internship in a Distribution Center and/or production environment preferred.

3.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Project required.

4.Ability to understand Mechanical layouts.

5.Ability to understand control systems, data acquisition systems, sensors and control interfaces preferred.

6.Strong communication and analytical skills.

7.Excellent conflict resolution, documentation and technical writing skills required.

8.Good interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.

9.Previous experience with Labor Management System (LMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).

10.Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace including walking, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting within a Distribution Center environment required.
