Job Summary:
The Project Manager (Acquisition Closeout) provides timely access to industrial and academic resources, closeout acquisition, and assistance in meeting critical mission requirements. The Project Manager (Acquisition Closeout) serves as the advocate for national objectives such as increasing small business, competition, and commercial product awards. This position is contingent upon an anticipated contract award and all work will be performed at the Customer's offices in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Candidate will have full authority to act for AP on all contract matters relating to the daily operation of this contract.
  • Responsible at all times for providing service at the required level and must develop a Project Management Plan to ensure continuity of services in the event of unexpected departure or removal of contractor personnel.
  • Responsible for conducting Monthly Progress meetings at a time stipulated by the government.
  • Responsible for preparing Project Status and Management Reports.
  • Will support the preparation, generation, and performance of all contract closeout actions, documentation, and data entry into PRISM (or the current Contract Writing System) as required.
  • Responsible for the closeout a minimum of 40 contracts per month.
  • Responsible for all remaining contract periods, Customer closes out at least 40 contracts per month and 480 per 12-month period.
  • Closeout services are provided on a completion basis, with completion defined as the signature on the final closeout modification by a Government Contracting Officer.
Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or business-related field such as Accounting, Management, Finance, Marketing etc.
  • DAWIA "Contracting Professional" certification
Required Qualifications:
  • Seven (7) years of experience performing Acquisition Closeout
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or business-related field such as Accounting, Management, Finance, Marketing etc.
  • DAWIA "Contracting Professional" certification
  • 2 years of PRISM experience
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. [Contract closeout files shipment]
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance*
  • *NOTE: Candidate must possess an in-scope TOP SECRET Investigation that has been favorably adjudicated for SCI Eligibility that meets Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 requirements, to include Intelligence Community Policy Guidance (ICPG) 704.4 and Security Executive Agent Directive 4 (SEAD4) requirements AND Are either: a. currently indoctrinated into SCI access; or b. was indoctrinated into SCI access within 24 months preceding the estimated award date.*
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Department of Defense (DOD) or National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) experience is preferred.
