About this position:

Once a bed is assigned, the Nurse Clinical Expediter is pivotal in optimizing patient flow and enhancing operational efficiency to create capacity at Johns Hopkins Hospital. This role involves real-time triage and problem-solving to optimize hospital bed utilization using Capacity Command Center technology. After a bed is assigned, the Nurse Clinical Expediter will collaborate extensively with care teams and stakeholders to streamline discharge processes and focus on patient-specific actions to improve patient experience and care progression. Additionally, the role demands ongoing active engagement in process improvement strategies.

Who Should Apply:

  • BSN degree is required.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required.
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
  • Five years recent RN experience with at least 2 at unit leadership level; ICU/ED preferred.
