The Role:
The Collaboration Engineer is responsible for learning and understanding the technical requirements of Collaboration projects, including VoIP, Video, Presence, Contact Center, and Collaborative Applications. They will work closely with Senior Collaboration Engineers to grasp project processes, lifecycles, and documentation, with a focus on precise execution and participation in process improvement.

The Role:
The Collaboration Engineer is responsible for learning and understanding the technical requirements of Collaboration projects, including VoIP, Video, Presence, Contact Center, and Collaborative Applications. They will work closely with Senior Collaboration Engineers to grasp project processes, lifecycles, and documentation, with a focus on precise execution and participation in process improvement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain and maintain manufacturer certifications in alignment with organizational and personal objectives, defined with the assistance of the Team Lead.
- Receive and execute tasks provided by Senior Collaboration Engineers, updating necessary documentation, and undergoing review by SCEs.
- Stay updated on technology trends, customer needs, and market demand.
- Learn specialized skills such as routing, switching, site surveys, video endpoints, QoS, Core Unified Communications, Enterprise Content Management, Presence, and/or Customer contact applications.
- Contribute to a well-organized team environment based on values including Ownership, Business Comprehension, Dependability, and Professionalism.
- Develop an understanding of customer environments (technical and political) and escalate issues to the CE Team Lead when appropriate.
- Participate in modifying and continually improving professional services project documentation and implementation processes.
- Implement project processes and documentation effectively.
- Troubleshoot integrated technology issues and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain professionalism and uphold Presidio's standards of service for customers.
- Complete assigned duties and tasks.
- Train junior engineers and participate in peer discussions on how to be a better collaboration engineer.
- Actively takes part in proposal efforts as necessary or defined by management.
Position Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years working in the Unified Communications industry.
- Desired entry-level industry certifications including CCNA, Microsoft Teams certification, CCNP Collaboration preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in using Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Secret or Public Trust security clearance preferred.
- Must be clearable to work in the US Government or hold clearance when applicable.
