Auditor, Information Technology (May Be Underfilled)

Gatehouse Administration Center

Description

Plans, performs and manages the full range of auditing procedures including analyses, appraisals, and evaluations of technology operations and activities, as well as other internal audit projects, individually or as part of a team; assesses the operating effectiveness of key controls; reviews transactions within accounting, human resources, instructional systems, and operating systems for fiscal and regulation compliance; conducts special investigations to ensure good stewardship of resources.

Qualifications

Required

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, information technology, data management and analytics, or a related field, with major course work in accounting or finance.
  • Five (5) years of progressively more responsible professional experience in auditing or accounting.
  • Current certification in one of the following or certification within one (1) year of employment: certified information systems auditor (CISA), certified information system security professional (CISSP), certified information system manager (CISM).
  • Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the theory, procedures, and practices related to public and educational operational administration, auditing standards, and public finance accounting.
  • Knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity frameworks, and internal control design.
  • Knowledge of information systems hardware and software architecture design, development life cycles and testing.
  • Knowledge of the field of computer security and the methods of assessing computer security; knowledge of the principles and techniques of management analysis
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to successfully manage and execute large-scale, complex projects through to on-time completion.
  • Ability to problem-solve multifaceted issues by analyzing and interpreting complex information, evaluating results, and choosing the best approach to short- and long-term problems.
  • Proficiency in data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
  • Secondary certification such as: certified public accountant (CPA), certified internal auditor (CIA), certified government audit professional (CGAP), certified fraud examiner (CFE).

$91,628 - $155,921
