Duties

As a Power Sources Engineer/Scientist within the CIA's Directorate of Science and Technology (DS&T), you will apply your expertise to solve complex technical challenges and deliver solutions in support of CIA's mission to collect foreign intelligence.

DS&T Power Sources Engineers and Scientists span a wide range of technical areas and work collaboratively to provide world-class solutions and to meet CIA mission needs. Job duties range from managing Research and Development portfolios to designing exquisite power solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

* Ability to meet the minimum requirements for joining CIA, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation

* Power systems, battery and power technology, and energy storage technologies

* Ability to adapt to fast paced, dynamic requirement environments

* Interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills

* Strong team and independent work ethic

* Systems engineering experience

* Advanced degree, professional certification, or comparable experience in one or more of the following disciplines is strongly desired:

* Chemical engineering

* Chemistry

* Electrical engineering

* Materials science

* Mechanical engineering

* Nuclear engineering

* Physical sciences

* Physics

* Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following functional disciplines:

* Systems engineering

* Prototype design and fabrication

Education

* Bachelor's degree in one of the following:

* Chemical engineering

* Chemistry

* Electrical engineering

* Materials science

* Mechanical engineering

* Nuclear engineering

* Physical sciences

* Physics

* At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
