About the Opportunity:

Datacenter Technician (DMI)

  • Experience in a financial services environment preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • A solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting and management applications
  • Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the data center facility to ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
  • Installing support structures (network, storage and enterprise servers, racks, switches, servers, etc.)
  • Rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels
  • Commission and Decommission of Hardware
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics of hardware/connectivity
  • Familiarity with Patch Panels
  • Adhere to Change Control Processes
  • Must be able to perform component replacement (DIMMs, hard drives, power supplies)
  • Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors.
  • Troubleshoot and document technical issues using Service Now ticketing system
  • Willingness to respond to network and server errors after hours.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and end-users as needed
  • Assist with data center capacity planning and expansion projects.
  • Previous experience working in a complex high availability data center environment providing layer one hardware installation, ongoing maintenance, problem identification and incident resolution
  • Physical hands on job, able to lift 50 lbs, move servers, walk stairs, climb a step ladder and be on your feet
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
