Overview:
AARP is the nations largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering people 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. With a nationwide presence, AARP strengthens communities and advocates for what matters most to the more than 100 million Americans 50-plus and their families: health security, financial stability and personal fulfillment. AARP also produces the nations largest circulation publications: AARP The Magazine and AARP Bulletin.
AARPs Office of Chief of Staff keeps AARP operating and informed on a day-to-day basis. The staff works closely with the CEO and other E-Team members to provide leadership and direction to make strategic decisions.
The Employee Communications Advisor serves as a consultant to internal clients on an array of internal communications issues. They inform, educate and engage employees by creating, editing, managing and executing content through internal communication channels, such as daily all-employee email, intranet content, management memos, digital signage, and internal social media tools. They develop clear, consistent messaging that aligns with AARPs strategy, enhances engagement and reflects AARPs values. The Advisor collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline communication processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit or department. They perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
