Job description

The Compensation and Benefits Program Manager, under guidance from the Director of Compensation and Benefits, leads, plans, organizes and implements Compensation and/or Benefits related programs, processes, and day-to-day responsibilities. Serves as a team and HR subject matter expert on Compensation/Benefits matters.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems or related area of study (Required)
Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Preferred)

Minimum Work Experience
5 years related Compensation & Benefits experience (Required)

Required Licenses and Certifications
CCP or CBP (Preferred)

Functional Accountabilities
Consulting & Analysis

  • As a Subject Matter Expert, operates collaboratively as a thought partner with HR staff, including HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition, as well as Business Leaders, to consult, advise and educate on compensation or benefits related topics and projects.
  • Regularly provides analysis an insight on Compensation and/or Benefits related topics, seeks opportunities for efficiencies and enhancements, and facilitates change (s).
  • Ensures Compensation and/or Benefits related work is in alignment with compensation policies, procedures and philosophy by providing guidance and oversight to team, ensuring overall quality of work delivered.
Programs/Projects
  • Leads programs and projects which could include annual increases, contractual union increases, market survey participation, new technology implementation, audits, etc.
  • Works with the Director of Compensation & Benefits to implement compensation and benefits program communication and training activities for projects and initiatives.
  • Serves as team lead for technical system and vendor support for compensation and benefits tools.
  • Leads or participates in audits to ensure legal compliance such EEO, FLSA, FMLA, SARs, etc.
  • Keeps abreast of new legal changes to assure plans are compliant and communications to employees are timely.
Training and Development
  • Develops and maintains Total Rewards training materials and provides training and/or guidance to team members, and/or other HR department members.
