Job Description

  • Electronically process a range of personnel actions.
  • Review personnel records for accuracy of specified data elements.
  • File personnel documents in appropriate files to ensure security and confidentiality.
  • Calculate Service Computation Dates (SCD) reviews using Official Personnel Folders (OPF).
  • Provide required employment verification and request appropriate records from the National Records Center, as well as forwarding the records of departed employees.
  • Track and input the full range of standard and non-standard personnel actions.
  • Obtain employment histories from other agencies (Standard Form [SF]-75), the Federal Records Center (SF-127), and outside sources.
  • Advise and support the government in writing commitment and offer letters.
  • Help with incoming new employees, reviewing forms for accuracy and completeness, and answering numerous and varied questions.
  • Conduct SCDs for employees or re-computes SCDs dates using electronic Official Personnel Folders (eOPF) and automated computer software.
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets on actions including Entry on Duties (EOD), and Not to Exceeds (NTE).

Job Requirements

  • Two (2) years of Federal HR experience, at least one (1) of which must be specialized experience.
  • A college degree may be substituted for 1 year of non-specialized experience.
  • Position requires proven administrative skills and some experience with HR automated systems.
