GridIron IT is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler local to the Ft. Meade, MD Area.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must hold an active Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules for large, complex projects to join our team. This includes defining project tasks, determining project dependencies, estimating durations, and allocating resources. The Project Scheduler will also be responsible for tracking progress, identifying and resolving schedule issues, and providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain project schedules for large, complex projects
Define project tasks, determine project dependencies, estimate durations, and allocate resources
Use scheduling software to create and update project schedules
Track progress and identify and resolve schedule issues
Provide regular updates to project stakeholders, including project team members, management, and clients
Collaborate with project team members to ensure that project schedules are realistic and achievable
Use data analysis and reporting to identify trends and potential issues
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST have strong writing skills and expect to perform extensive writing.
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Consulting firm experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies
ITIL certification
