Staff Action Control Specialist

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Staff Action Control Specialist to join our team at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA to support our HQDA G-3/5/7 Support Services contract.

Duties:

+ Provide expertise in task management and processing actions through the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2), as well as processing staff actions and office administrative support to support the accomplishment of the Operations Directorate's mission.

+ Assist the government in receiving, assigning, monitoring, formatting, staffing, packaging, and closing assigned tasks and staff actions.

+ Facilitate staff action control of the Operations Directorate's ETMS2 account on both the SIPR and NIPR networks.

+ Coordinate, track, collect, and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of Government responses to internal and external task actions issued and received through the ETMS2 system.

+ Prepare, format, and package responses in ETMS2 for Government approval and ensure actions are closed by directed suspense dates; with specific interest to those requiring General Officer, Senior Executive Service, or Army Senior Leader approval.

+ Create taskers utilizing ETMS2, paper, or email and assist the Government in the staffing of taskers whether within or outside of the ETMS2 system.

+ Prepare and participate in the briefing of a Daily Task Report to Government leadership providing updates to all tasks assigned to the Operations Directorate in ETMS2 or by other means.

+ Participate in task management meetings and briefings to facilitate accomplishment within assigned or directed task suspense.

+ Effectively communicate the status of tasks to HQDA agencies, ECC, SACO, JACO, CACO, and other task management offices or action officers.

+ Assist the government staff by answering phones and connecting the appropriate parties or recording pertinent messages.

+ Review and/or prepare Army memoranda and Staff Actions in accordance with Army Regulation 25-50, Preparing and Managing Correspondence.

+ Assist with preparing, coordinating, and facilitating the processing of correspondence and staff actions through the appropriate approval process.

+ Assist the Government as a writer-editor with responsibility for researching, analyzing, distilling, and presenting information.

+ Conduct research to obtain background information relative to each action or task through use of automated databases, review of previous or ongoing tasks on the same or related subjects, and search of historical files to evaluate requirements for coordination of responses.

+ Assist the Government to edit text for grammatical correctness, clarity, appropriate reading level, and consistency with regulations and style and format requirements.

+ Assist the Government to reorganize, revise, rearrange, or rework material ensuring all applicable requirements have been met.

+ Assist the Government to discuss major changes with the author or subject-matter expert before making revisions.

+ Maintain an automated file system to maintain copies of draft and final staff actions to share information and facilitate the accomplishment of future tasks.

+ In compliance with government, facilitate Knowledge Management and continuity of operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

+ Have a fundamental understanding of HQDA institutional structure and enterprise staff action processes and systems, in both the classified and unclassified environment.

+ Must have the ability to work with Microsoft suite of software (excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as Government-provided software as required.

+ Require minimal supervision in the fast-paced, critical environment of the Army Headquarters.

+ Must be proficient in the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) (formerly Task Management Tool).

+ Experience with coordination and synchronization at Senior Army, OSD, Joint Staff, or ASCC and Major Commands levels.

+ Knowledge of coordinating with major stakeholders to negotiate and synthesize information to ensure progress in response to urgent requirements.

+ Able to support development of analysis, recommendations, and staff Senior level information, coordination and decision documents and materials.

+ Must be able to think critically and apply analytical methodologies to raw data to present clear and precise recommendations.?

+ Must be able to clearly articulate analysis through both oral and written communication.??

+ Ability to focus on Mission requirements while tracking multiple competing priorities.?

Required Clearance:

+ ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: TS/SCI

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor degree required.

+ At least five (5) years of related experience.

Travel:

Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:

This position will be co-located with the customers and other contractors in Government office spaces. While not generally authorized, telework may be required due to exceptional circumstances (extreme weather, pandemic, etc.).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full?time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
