Are you a motivated individual with a military background, looking to channel your unique skills and experiences into the dynamic world of entrepreneurship? We are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our entrepreneurial internship program. As a Military Entrepreneurship Intern, you will have the chance to harness the discipline, leadership, and problem-solving abilities you gained while serving in the military, and apply them to the challenges of building a successful business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adaptation of Military Skills: Leverage the skills and values acquired during military service, such as leadership, teamwork, resilience, and strategic thinking, to excel in the entrepreneurial environment.
Entrepreneurial Training: Undergo comprehensive one-on-one training sessions designed to provide a solid foundation in business development, innovation, market analysis, and financial management. Gain valuable insights into identifying and evaluating potential business opportunities.
Idea Generation: Collaborate with the mentorship team and fellow interns to brainstorm, refine, and develop innovative business concepts. Apply your military experience to identify unique solutions to real-world problems.
Business Planning: Participate in the development of business plans, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial projections, to bring viable concepts closer to implementation.
Startup Exposure: Get hands-on experience working in an early-stage startup, understanding their challenges, and witnessing the decision-making process of the team
Networking: Engage in networking opportunities with established entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts, creating valuable connections for future career growth.
Project Management: Lead and contribute to various projects, applying military principles of organization and efficiency to ensure successful project execution.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Utilize your experience in risk assessment and mitigation from your military background to evaluate potential business risks and develop contingency plans.
Business Growth Strategies: Work with our team to explore scalable growth strategies, tapping into your strategic thinking skills acquired during your military service.
Qualifications:
Entrepreneurial Spirit: Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and a desire to learn the ins and outs of building and managing a business.
Adaptability: Ability to transfer military skills to the civilian business landscape and apply them in creative and resourceful ways.
Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively.
Ambition and Drive: A self-starter with a strong work ethic, ready to take on challenges and seize opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Analytical Thinking: Adept at analyzing situations, identifying key factors, and making informed decisions.
Education: Enrollment in or completion of relevant studies, such as business administration, entrepreneurship, or related fields (preferred but not required).
Duration:
This internship is a 30-180 day program, designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship while leveraging your military background. At the end of the internship, outstanding candidates may be considered for further opportunities within our organization.

Mentorship and guidance via regular SkillBridge Intern Zoom Meetings.
Other free resources, including an electronic copy of 'How to Speak Civilian Fluently'.

Not all internships include certification training by Vets2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead. If selected for an internship with Vets2PM please read your approval email, letter, and training plan to be sure you understand what is included in your internship.
