We are currently seeking an experienced engineer or geologists with experience in rock mechanics and rock slope analysis. The position includes performing explorations and developing design solutions for heavy civil projects in the Transportation, Municipal Water Wastewater and Industrial Site Development sector. Applicants with other skill sets will also be intergraded into other suitable design projects. This is considered primarily an office position; however, the applicant shall be prepared for various field assignments throughout their career.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute subsurface explorations including identifying structural geologic features
Evaluate slope stability of both soil and rock systems
Relate the structural geology of a site to proposed construction
Develop Design Recommendations
Prepare Reports
Clearly convey analysis results and recommendations to the design team through reports and in person presentation
Travel to project sites as necessary
Requirements:
Masters in Geotechnical Engineering or Geology (Structural)
Must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
Experience in with Kinematic analysis, interoperating great circle and pole pots
Experience using Rock Science software such as Swedge, and RocTopple
Must be able to adapt their designs to the needs of both our municipal owner and our design build contractor clients
Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist Certification preferred
Desired Skills:
General geotechnical engineer, hydrogeology, foundation design, and geologic terrestrial image analysis
