APS is seeking qualified candidates to fill Athletic Coach positions for Middle school sports!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruct and work with student athletes to prepare for competitions, games, and overall strength and conditioning in specific athletic area.. This postion reports to Principal or Designee (Director of Student Activities)
EXPERIENCE:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge on the rules, strategies, and techniques of sport. Knowledge of related athletics, sports equipment and safety to include Concussion Training, First Aid/CPR/AED, and applicable Virginia High School League (VHSL) certifications and training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year of coaching experience as an Assistant Coach, or a Head Coach. Experience can include supervising students in physical education classes, intermural, or other team building/sports.
