Position Overview
RMGS, Inc. is currently hiring a Senior Defeat Systems Project Manager in Southern Pines/Ft Liberty in North Carolina or Ft. Belvoir, VA in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to support Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) defeat.
Roles and Responsibilities
Will create, specify, manage, and guide development of technologies and material solutions to support Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) defeat.
Serving as Senior Project Manager to control development of assigned R&D technology.
Drive engineering project execution, develop and recommend technical guidance, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues.
Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning internal customers and external partners.
Interfacing with external agencies supporting engineering, architecture, and/or design.
Developing Requirements Verification Strategies and Plans.
Travel to customer facilities to assist with technical issues.
Conducts market research to identify solutions and solution providers in response to operational requirements.
Prepares acquisition paperwork to support contract execution.
Leads and interfaces directly with users and solution providers to develop technologies and solutions.
Plans and coordinates validation testing and advanced technology demonstrations for users.
Acquire injury/illness diagnosis information from various databases and systems
Draft and track mishap and other reports
Synthesize mishap report data in various display formats (graphs, numerical values, charts, etc.) for presentation to senior leadership
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10 years' experience with emphasis on supporting Kinetic, explosive systems design, and defeat systems R&D OR 16 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
4 years' experience in energetic systems R&D.
Explosive support experience for DOD Special Operations is required.
Demonstrated understanding of fundamental engineering concepts/principles/theories and standard Explosive methodologies.
Ability to clearly articulate, verbally and in writing, new concepts and capabilities.
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in the private or public sector, performing data collection and synthesis for supervisory and decision maker review
Maintain an Active Top Secret-SCI Clearance
Must live within commuting distance of either Southern Pines/Ft Liberty in North Carolina or Ft. Belvoir, VA.
