The Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking applicants for multiple substitute support positions throughout the district on an as-needed basis.

The substitute support positions available are as follows:
  • Duty Aide ($10.45 per hour) - Hours vary from 3.5 - 7 hours per day
  • Health Care Assistant ($12.30 per hour) - Hours vary from 7 hours per day
  • Office Assistant ($10.45 per hour)- Hours vary from 4.5 - 8 hours per day
  • Secretary ($13.05 per hour) - 8 hours per day
  • *Kindergarten Aide ($12.30 per hour)- Hours vary from 7.25 hours per day
  • *Library Aide ($11.25 per hour)- 7 hours per day
  • *Paraprofessional ($12.30 per hour) - Hours vary from 7 - 8 hours per day
*An Educational Aide Permit (EAP) is required for Kindergarten Aide, Library Aide and Paraprofessional positions and there are 2 different ways to obtain the EAP, which can be discussed directly with the HR Department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Interest in working with children
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others
  • Ability to maintain supervision of a small/large group situation
  • Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed
  • Must be respectful and work collaboratively with peers
  • Must be dependable and exhibit a strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain and respect confidential information and situations
  • Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents of diverse populations
