Title: Educational Aide
Position Purpose Under the direct supervision of the building Principal, to assist in instructing student(s) per the IAT, IEP, and classroom teacher goals as prescribed by those documents and by the corresponding classroom teacher and/or special education specialists, i.e. teacher, speech therapist, occupational therapist, or other professional in accordance with Board policy and established district procedures.
Essential Functions:
Assists in supervising students in the classroom.
Attend all appropriate IAT meetings as appropriate, which are related to the instructional and behavioral goals of aided student(s)
Assists with supervising students in building, and escorting students to and from school buses.
Reports to teachers, principal, and/or security personnel as appropriate regarding infractions, safety concerns, injuries, or other issues involving students.
Additional Duties
May distribute textbooks, supplies or other materials as requested.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications Profile
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
Certification/License:
Minimum of an active Ohio Educational Aide's license
Motor Vehicle Operator's (DMV) License or ability to provide own transportation.
Experience:
Successful prior experience preferably working in a school district or with children.
