Operations Leader - Commercial Distribution

Job description

SUMMARY:

Havtech Commercial Distribution is seeking a professional, proactive and data driven individual for our Operations Leader role. This individual will oversee the distribution and logistics for the business through developing and managing key processes for inventory management, purchasing, pricing and overall operations of our multiple branches spanning the Maryland, Virginia and Pittsburgh markets.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the distribution and logistics for all Havtech Commercial Distribution locations through development of key processes and management of overall operations.
  • Manage the price matrix for HCD products and own the Commercial Distribution product files.
  • Track and manage vendor claim back processes and rebate reporting.
  • Review inefficient inventory, own reduction efforts, and identify the products needed in stock based on actual customer demand.
  • Collect and use market data to determine potential new product lines and offerings.
  • Define stock mins and maxes and safety stock levels using sales history and specifically collected customer data. Utilize EOQs to make purchasing as efficient as possible.
  • Analyze sales data, trends, and customer demands to create inventory forecasts with the goal of minimizing dropship and maximizing stock purchases across all locations.
  • Develop a daily cycle count process and lead the process for increased efficiency around overall inventory process.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Havtech Commercial Distribution product offerings and market pricing by attending training seminars, engaging with vendors, and utilizing other independent training opportunities.
  • Engage, develop and maintain positive supplier relationships through consistent and clear communication.
  • Work with the Business Leaders and VP of Business Systems to enhance the CRM and ERP programs as well as to plan and execute business system enhancements.
  • Work directly with operations team and branch leads to ensure maximum operational efficiency and exceptional customer service through development and maintenance of all processes for inside sales, administration, warranty and accounting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A unique combination of education, experience, or demonstrated accomplishments is required. Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain, Finance, Business, etc.) and 5+ years' experience in operations management and inventory planning in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Experience within the HVAC industry is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft GP is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess a value-creation and problem-solving mindset to help identify, define, and execute effective operations SOP
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to effectively foster relationships across all behavioral personality types.
  • Demonstrated focus on action-oriented details while maintaining accuracy and consistency in managing multiple detail-oriented projects simultaneously.
  • Possess the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
