Job description

The responsibilities for this position will include some or all of the following: supervising field placements, administrative responsibilities. Your responsibilities include off-campus duties. Your academic department may also provide you with more specific job expectations.

Education/Experience

Master's degree in related field plus a minimum of two years public school teaching.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability

Excellent communication skills are essential and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and service.

Demonstrated mastery of subject matter or discipline.

Demonstrated ability to teach and evaluate undergraduate students.

Physical Requirements

Position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.

Position requires the ability to speak clearly and effectively for an extended period of time.

Position requires some additional hours for meetings and events outside of the regular supervision hours.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include supervision of field placements; attendance of supervisor meetings on campus; collaboration with public/private school faculty; observation and evaluation of teacher candidates, support for performance assessments.
