    • Job Summary:
      • Performs reimbursement analyses and data reporting of the health system's medical group to guide management decisions regarding practice operations and reimbursement performance of federal, state, and private insurance payors. Aids the director of financial planning and reimbursement with review of current and new payor agreements, including preparation and development of negotiating reimbursement rates related to private payor network contracts. Assists the department of finance in the preparation of the medical group's annual budget.
    • Education:
      • Position requires a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Health Administration or related business field or 5-7 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.
    • Registration/Certification/Licensure:
      • None
    • Experience:
      • Position requires a minimum of 3 years previous healthcare finance experience. Federal, State, and private insurance payor reimbursement experience related multispecialty provider practices preferred. Proficient in Excel, Word, and Access. Budget and Decision Support Application experience helpful.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
      • Training: Up to six (6) months on-the-job training provided to reach proficiency.
      • Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements to include Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
      • Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with internal and external customers and in promoting a positive work atmosphere.
      • Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.
