Job Title: Senior-Level Software Architect (Position 26a)

Overall Assignment Description:

Elevate your career with TULK as a Senior-Level Software Architect, where you'll be at the forefront of designing and developing innovative software solutions. This role is intricately connected to the expansive world of Enterprise Architecture, API design, data services, cloud computing, and infrastructure services. Your mission: transform user requirements into strategic solutions that align with our Enterprise Architecture vision. As a Senior-Level Software Architect, you'll lead the way, making critical design choices and setting the technical standards that define the future of our software development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor Mid-Level and Junior-Level software architects in crafting, developing, maintaining, and documenting software solution architectures. Ensure that these architectures align seamlessly with the Enterprise architecture and meet our requirements.
  • Analysis and Enhancement: Collaborate closely with our team to conduct in-depth analyses of user requirements, procedures, and challenges. Your insights will drive automation and enhancements to our existing software systems.
  • Innovation: Spearhead the development of proposed changes to software solution architecture design. Your guidance, rooted in requirements analysis and a keen eye on emerging technologies, will shape the future.
  • Technical Excellence: Be the driving force behind high-level software design choices and technical standards. This includes defining best practices for coding, selecting the right tools, and choosing the most suitable platforms.
Skills and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, System Engineering, or a related STEM Degree Program. Alternatively, showcase your equivalent Senior-level experience as a Software Architect.
  • Senior-level or higher experience in government or industry, particularly in areas like Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Architecture and Design, or Data Architecture.
  • Proficiency in more than one of the following areas: cloud computing, service orientation, containerization, micro-services, API development, or DevSecOps.
  • A proven track record of building and delivering working products to customers within a modern, cloud-based software environment.
Desired:
  • Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, including processes, tools, and languages.
  • Prior experience with NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs/projects, providing valuable context from the Intelligence Community.
  • Previous involvement in IC or DoD programs/projects.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or Intelligence Communitys (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
