Technical Business Analyst

Job description

Job Summary

The Technical Business Analyst will play a crucial role in configuring and managing the workflow on our credit risk management platform, which operates our risk and pricing models. The role involves collaborating with the analytics, underwriting, loan operations, and engineering teams to implement new strategies and workflows, ensuring quality assurance, and managing product roadmaps and releases. This position is pivotal in maintaining and improving the processes that support credit decisioning and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop expert knowledge of the credit rules, models, and underwriting strategies in place for each line of business and customer segmentation.
  • Develop, implement, and QA business rules, credit models, and pricing models across all business channels while adhering to production timelines.
  • Address and resolve production issues while ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting, analytics, engineering, and sales teams on the development, implementation, QA, and product releases while balancing resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
  • Create and manage the necessary documentation to track changes and performance.
  • Oversee the development and management of product roadmaps and releases for the platform.
  • Develop and implement OKR and KPI reporting to measure and track progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience in software development, with expertise in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Etc.)
  • Strong understanding of data structures, and software design principles.
  • Experience with database systems and SQL for data manipulation and retrieval.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and techniques, including machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Prior experience in decision support system development or related fields is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
