Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for their Sr. Technical Consultant - SME position with the USPS program located in Washington, D.C. This is an on-site position only.

The Sr. Technical Consultant - SME works with end user groups to identify technical solutions to business problems or inefficiencies. Evaluates existing systems and/or user needs and makes recommendations. May require certification in specific applications.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Liaison between business stakeholders and development teams in flushing out requirement details.
• Create solutions impacting customer experience, revenue, and cost avoidance.
• Identify risks or technical issues with associated recommendations and proposed contingency.
• Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
• Responsible for providing management support as needed.
• Train new resources (Postal/ non-Postal) and Lead Daily team huddles.
• Prepare any supporting documents such as Pub 199 but not limited to just that document.
• Be able to take projects from assignment to completion.
• Supports management teams efforts in change management.
• Provide support related to mailer questions, calls, documentation, technical specification reviews/updates and attend any meetings with mailers and customers. This includes but not limited to PEEC, MTAC, Work Groups, User Groups, and Mailer CAT calls.
• Support for any non price change work as well.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree with 12+ years experience, Masters degree with 10+ years experience or a High School Diploma and 16+ years is required.
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder (Must reside in the U.S. the past five years with no more than six months outside travel of the U.S. during this timeframe).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 10+ years experience working on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently along with experience in business, technical and systems solutioning.
• Experience creating and/or updating mailer documents to include but not limited to: Release Overview and Release Notes, troubleshooting Mailer Issues and answering mailers questions.
• Expert knowledge of Domestic Mail rules and International Mail rules.
• Expert knowledge of Mail.DAT, Mail.XML, ICR, Shipping Services File, USPS API, Enterprise Interfaces.
• Expert knowledge of mailing and shipping specifications used to integrate mailers software and internal USPS systems.
• Expert knowledge of the ATS applications including but not limited to Postal One, USPS Ship, eVS, eInduction, Labeling List, CIN Codes, CFR Contracts Systems, Incentive Systems, Accounting Systems, Informed Delivery, Informed Visibility and all sub systems and micro systems associated to these applications.
• Expert knowledge of Enterprise Systems including Application Tech Systems, and Other Interfacing systems

Required Certifications:

• PMP or Scrum Master Certification
