**SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Training Manager, Business Partnering & Training Delivery supports and facilitates learning and development activities for VIA Protein Sciences and Swiftwater sites. The role supports the design and delivery of the annual training plans to maintain a compliant GXP Site Training Program and achieve strategic business results. This role will support the execution of the training plan through consulting and delivery of appropriate learning solutions. S/he interacts with and influences low to mid-level managers and supervisors to understand business goals and performance needs, develops, and executes learning plans aligned to the broader function, and routinely engages with key stakeholders to ensure learning solutions continue to support and positively drive desired outcomes. Success in this role depends on the candidates ability to collaborate with leaders in the functions and VIA Training & Education colleagues, as well as work cross-functionally to act as a partner and point of contact for them to support the design and delivery of learning solutions.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

Effectively establish, deepen and sustain key relationships with low to mid-level managers and supervisors to understand their business needs and related performance gaps, provide oversight and analysis when defining requirements, and demonstrate an understanding of processes and methodology in order to provide appropriate learning solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes; provide feedback and coaching on issues related to learning programs and policies

Identify performance needs, gaps and facilitate delivery of learning solutions to the function. Monitor, analyze, interpret, and report internal trends; make recommendations for learning solutions for functions. Ensure successful learning outcomes by directing the identification and translation of the functions training needs into a defined learning strategy and implement solutions. Document needs for customization of training. Review interim/unplanned training activities and requests; make appropriate recommendations for resourcing. Partner with VIA Training & Education Training Content Development team on the design and development of learning solutions.

Report timely feedback on training effectiveness to the functions and communicate suggestions for improvement. Understand feedback provided for VIA TE on the overall success of the learning solutions. Interpret and discuss feedback with stakeholders, and monitor the impact and cost-effectiveness of learning solutions. Suggest improvements to further enhance training program effectiveness and sustainability. Support functional compliance activities related to RCA, deviations, and CAPAs.

Act as a liaison between the VIA Training & Education function and the US VIA Protein Sciences and Swiftwater functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with training needs. Ensure learning solutions created to meet the requirements of the function. Identify alternate non-training solutions when appropriate.

Collaborate across the Sanofi network (Sanofi Universities, Sites, Quality) to build relationships and share best practices.

Deliver ILT and vILT courses for the functional areas. Ensure scheduling, logistics, and coordination support is provided for training across US VIA Protein Sciences and Swiftwater.

Remain current on learning and development-related tools, techniques, strategies, and practices in order to provide relevant, informed consultative advice to the function. Share leading learning practices with teams and stakeholders.

This position is aligned to a function and/or subject area (i.e NEO, FFIP, Aseptic) and will serve as the main training point of contact for a function and/or subject area. Conduct training needs analysis, define and drive learning strategies. Partner with SMEs and Training Content Development team on course development. Deliver ILT or vILT courses for the US VIA Protein Sciences and Swiftwater functions. Support Root Cause Analysis, deviations, and CAPAs for the functions. Provide function/building training coordination support. Partner with the functions on the design of curricula and lifecycle management of assignments. Serve as the maintenance point of contact for core training programs (i.e. NEO, Aseptic, Global TTT) to drive continuous improvement. Provide course scheduling/logistics and coordination support. Provide VIA T&E Compliance Oversight (deviations, CAPAs, CC, inspection readiness).

**BREADTH OF RESPONSIBILITY (GLOBAL/REGIONAL/COUNTRY/SITE):**

**Direct:** Swiftwater, PA, Meriden, CT, Pearl River, NY;

**Indirect**: collaborate globally with Sanofi Universities, Quality, etc.

**FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS:** This position is not budgetary.

**SHIFT: This role is 2nd shift**

This position does not have direct reports.

**STATISTICAL DIMENSIONS:**

* This position is aligned to a function and/or subject area (i.e NEO, FFIP, Aseptic) and will serve as the main training point of contact for a function and/or subject area. Conduct training needs analysis, define and drive learning strategies. Partner with SMEs and Training Content Development team on course development. * This position is responsible for support of 1-5 Regulatory body inspections, and at least two global Quality audits each year.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**Education/experience**

* Required: Bachelors degree

* Experience

+ **Required**: Minimum of 6 years of related experience, with a minimum 1 year of leadership experience and minimum 1 year of experience facilitating/delivering learning solutions

+ **Preferred**: Experience in the areas of learning, talent, HR, or comparable areas; experience in applicable technical/professional areas pertinent to the function served (e.g., R&D, manufacturing, GMP, etc.)
