**Mapleview Country Villa, a 100 bed skilled nursing facility featuring all private rooms located near Chardon Square, offers a warm and comfortable environment with staff committed to treating everyone like family- with compassion, respect and kindness. The facility opened in 2015 and offers a well appointed therapy center, private suites with private baths, and physician-led specialty programs in nephrology and cardiology. The staff earned the distinctions of Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehabilitation for 2019-20 from U.S. News and World Report and Large Business of the Year in 2018 from the Chardon Chamber of Commerce.**

****Summary**The primary purpose of the Cook is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.**

****Cook Job Responsibilities Include:****

* Cooking tasty and visually appealing food per corporate menus and recipes while adhering to best food safety practices

* Plating meals in a visually appealing manner

* Maintaining an orderly and sanitary kitchen**

****Experience:****

**

* Prior experience cooking for large groups, such as event catering, school cafeteria, hospital or long term care facility required**

****

****Summary****

**

* Prior experience cooking in a healthcare setting and knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred

* ServeSafe Level 2 certification preferred

* Must be timely and dependable!
